Homebrew Zarkûn Species Details
The Zarkûn are a people defined by violence. Raised in unforgiving deserts and hardened by generations of war, they have built a culture where brutality is not only accepted, but expected. To survive among the Zarkûn is to prove strength constantly—through combat, dominance, and the ability to endure suffering without hesitation or mercy.
Physically powerful and scarred by both environment and battle, Zarkûn bodies are shaped for prolonged conflict. Their resilience to flame and exhaustion allows them to fight beneath blistering suns and amid burning battlefields without faltering. Wounds are badges of survival, and weakness is swiftly culled. Those who cannot endure are left behind, devoured by the same world that forged the rest.
Zarkûn society is deeply barbaric, structured around warbands, raiding cultures, and displays of raw power. Authority is claimed through violence and maintained through fear. Leadership is rarely subtle—chieftains rise by crushing rivals and holding dominance through bloodshed. Mercy is viewed as indulgence, and restraint is mistaken for weakness.
Fear has little hold over the Zarkûn. Intimidation is meaningless to those who have grown up surrounded by death, and threats only invite challenge. In battle, Zarkûn warriors surge forward with relentless aggression, pressing attacks without regard for personal safety. Even when struck down, many rise again, driven by sheer refusal to die before their enemies fall.
To outsiders, the Zarkûn are monsters of the wastelands—raiders, conquerors, and living embodiments of violence. To the Zarkûn themselves, this reputation is not shameful. It is proof that they are feared, and in their world, fear is the closest thing to respect.
