Homebrew Buph Species Details

Buph are the lupine healers that dwell in the darkness of gravesites. They resemble bipedal worgs, but are not nearly as aggressive. They may look ferocious, and they are often viewed as dangerous or creepy, but in reality they are often very amiable, using their cryptic healing power to aid those in need. Buph live in cemeteries, which doesn't do much in favor of people's opinion of them, but it has no nefarious purposes whatsoever. They act as gravediggers and gardeners, taking care of the cemetery they live in, as well as protectors against the supernatural, keeping outbreaks of zombies and other undead at bay.

Age

Buph have lifespans similar to humans. They enter adulthood at about 19 and usually live around a century.

Alignment

Buph may look fearsome and wild, but they truly have a passion for healing. Because of this, they are most often chaotic good. 

Size

Buph are between 5 and 7 feet tall and weigh between 150 and 300 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Frightening Medic

You have proficiency in the Intimidation skill and the Medicine skill.

Healer's Touch

You know the spare the dying cantrip.

Natural Quadruped

As a bonus action, you can drop down onto all fours, which gives you have a bonus speed of 15 feet. While running this way, you cannot hold anything in your hands, or make any attacks other than unarmed strikes. You also classify as a mount for creatures of Small size or less.
