Creating Your Character

Ability Score Increases

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy. 

Languages

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. In addition, you can communicate with bears, as well as bear-based creatures.

Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.

 

Life Span

Ursines are known to live long lives, the oldest being nearly 300 years old.

Height and Weight

Ursine stand between 6 and 8 feet tall, weighing on average around 300 – 500 lbs. Size Med.

Durable. 
You have great durability. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.

Beastfolk Traits

As an orc, you have the following racial traits.

Creature Type

You are a Humanoid.

Size

You are Medium.

Speed

Your walking speed is 30 feet.

Claws

Your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you can deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Hunter's Instincts

You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Athletics, Intimidation, Perception, or Survival.

Daunting Roar

  • Daunting Roar. As a bonus action, you can let out an especially menacing roar. Creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you that can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn. The DC of the save equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Durable

Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
