Homebrew [AoZ] Rostlina Species Details

Secretive and suspicious of animal-based outsiders, the Rostlina are plant-based humanoids, oftentimes resembling other plant life with flowing petals for hair, leaves and bark, oftentimes exchanging them for clothing or armor, and thorns can be found standing in for fingernails and teeth.

Their history is both vibrant and violent, having been cultivated by the Dracarys Imperium as guardians and enforcers out on the borderlands of their territories.  After the War of Feather and Fang, they took the opportunity to break free from their ‘masters’.  Carving their own niche into the world, seeking to find respite and refuge in the wild places less travelled by more aggressive species.  Even into the modern Age of Defiance, a majority of the Rostlina still harbor a deep-seated mistrust of anyone who pretends to the role of authority or expertise; for good or ill, their criticality regarding the mantles of power and status cannot be understated.

While they are very quiet and secretive about their kind, all Rostlina are deeply passionate regarding art and expression, and find every opportunity to explore and discover that side of mortals when they find a ‘twofoots’ that has proven their trustworthiness and reliability.
