Homebrew Amorph Species Details

The amorph are ooze people, who adapted thoughts after witnessing adventurers in the dungeons they lurked in. The ooze gained a remarkable level of smarts for its kind, and took a somewhat human like shape to appear as them. The amorph are typically neutral, but seek adventure and exploration, as that was what inspired them to emerge from the depths. While they were treated strangely when they first transitioned into adventurers (which didn't really bother them), people came around to like them, and even taught them to speak languages in their gurgles.

Amorph Traits

You're still physically the same as when you were barely sentient, giving you the following traits.

Amorphous Form

You can change your dimensions to fit smaller spaces, as thin as 2 inches, as a bonus action. When your dimensions are changed, you stay the same size and have a 5ft. walk speed penalty. Shifting back to your regular form also takes a bonus action. Your equipment, including armor, cannot fit through spaces too small for it when you use this trait.

Acidic "Skin"

When a creature comes into contact with your skin, they take acid damage equal to 1d6 plus your constitution modifier. This damage increases by 1d6 at level 14.
