Homebrew Aurelian Species Details
Aurelians are beings forged from the residual energies of the Upper Planes. Unlike Aasimar, who are mortals with a touch of the divine, Aurelians are literal manifestations of celestial law and light. They often possess metallic-toned skin, hair like spun gold or silver, and eyes that glow with a soft, inner radiance.
Aurelian Traits
- Age: Aurelians reach maturity at age 20 and can live up to 500 years.
- Size: Your size is Medium.
- Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
- Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.
- Celestial Resistance: You have resistance to Radiant damage.
- Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Celestial.
Signature Feature: Angelic Presence
Starting at 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to unleash your celestial energy for 1 minute. Choose one of the following effects upon activation:
- Radiant Soul: Luminous wings sprout from your back. You gain a flying speed of 30 feet.
- Guiding Light: Your presence bolsters allies. Any friendly creature within 10 feet of you adds a 1d4 bonus to their attack rolls.
Once you use this trait, you cannot use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
