Homebrew Batoan Foxkin Species Details
The Foxkin were a race of anthropomorphic fox-people, who could seemingly travel throughout the various planes with ease, although the rituals and methods for doing so are a tight secret. Although it is said that they originated from the Faywild, it is not unheard of for them to travel through the mists of the Shadowfell alongside the Vistani as they are not affected by the ill effects of the mists. A lively people, The Foxkin are well known for being a mix of Charming Healers, Cunning Charlatans, and everything in between.

Size: Medium (about 5–6 feet tall)
Speed: 35 feet
Alignment: The culture of the Foxkin is a culture of freedom, balance, tradition, and respecting the laws of nature above the laws of society. As a result, many of them have strong inclinations towards chaotic neutral. Although it's not unheard of for some to fall closer to either lawful or good alignments, evil among Foxkin is exceptionally rare.
Languages: You can read, speak, and write Common, Patternna, and Foxkin.
Keen Hearing and Smell: You have proficiency with the perception skill and have advantage on perception checks that rely on hearing and smell.
Vivacious Cunning
Foxkin are well known for being the life of a party. You have proficiency in the performance skill as well as a musical instrument of your choice.
Likewise, while either playing music or dancing, you have advantage on persuasion and deception checks as a free action. You may use this ability once per short or long rest.
Master Herbalist
The Foxkin are renowned herbalists and healers whose oral traditions pass down all manner of knowledge from ages past. You gain proficiency with the herbalism kit, and you are able to prepare antitoxins and any level potions of healing over the short or long rest, so long as you have the necessary ingredients to do so. (Any additional potions you may be able to prepare will require DM approval)
Lifebringer
When you use a health potion or healing magic on yourself or someone else within 5 ft of you, you may roll an additional die and drop the lowest when adding up the total hit points that it heals. Additionally, once per short or long rest you may stabilize a creature within 5 ft of you as an action without making a medicine check.
