Homebrew Draconian Shifter Species Details

You are a born ancestor of a draconian bloodline, a line of descendants that were of a mixed breed of races. Now as one of those descendants, you can live up to 130, reaching adulthood between 20-30, and you can shift between a dragon and what race you were born through [human/elves/dwarves/gnomes/halfling/goliath/Tiefling] and your draconic form shares some sort of traits resembling your humanoid form.

Look Variants

Human

Your draconic form will have whites around the iris and five claws on each hand

Elves

Your draconic form will have filled coloured in eyes of your elf form and a pointed iris, and the colour of your horns will be based around the elven lineage you chosen. [High - Ivory/ Wood - Brown Jasper/ Dark - Onyx]

Dwarves

Your draconic form would be smaller than a normal than most and garnering a more ash looking skin, and thicker muscles, making you small but strong.

Gnomes

Your draconic from would be smaller than normal and rarely flies and is faster lower down to the ground or on it. you would also have a sort of rugged main going down the neck.

Halfling

Your draconic form would be shorter than most, being on the smaller side gives you more speed though, and you would only have the back legs.

Goliath

Your draconic form is known for being bigger than any other, being more physically stronger than innate with magic power. 

Tiefling

Your draconic form would be closer looking to an ancient dragon like your ancestors. your horns would be larger than normal though and your tail would have similarities to that of your Tiefling tail, your eyes also filling out in a similar way.

Along with your draconic form, you gain the powers from your ancestors, garnering a breath weapon and a resistance to its elemental type.

Draconic Form

Your health is now your base HP + your CON and Proficiency bonus. Your AC is also now 16 + Proficiency bonus [Or spellcasting ability, players choice] 
Your walking speed changes from 30 to 20 and you gain a flight speed of 50.

Partial Shifting

At Level 8 and higher, you will be able to shift any chosen parts of your body for extra bonuses. 

Draconic Claws - You transform your hands into claws, scales run along your hands and your nails grow, you gain +1 slashing damage to every attack, and gain another point of damage every time it is used in a fight until the next long rest.

Draconic Legs - Your transform your legs, they bend and break out of your usual shape and into a more animalistic look, the scales running along it. You gain advantage on any movement based DEX actions and +10 movement speed of any kind.

Draconic Sight - Your eyes feel sharper, you gain Darkvision up to 120ft in any form of darkness except magical, and gain advantage in any sight based skills.

Draconic Shielding - Your skin transforms, scales covering the span of your body. Your AC increases by 2 and you become immune to the elemental type of your ancestry. 

Draconic Flight - Your skin rips open on your back, wings peal off of you and spread out around your form. You now have the ability of flight in your humanoid form, gaining 50ft flying speed and your walk speed stays the same.

Size

Depending on humanoid race origin choice, you can be small, medium or large.
