Homebrew Solari Species Details
Eons ago, the Solari (soh-LAH-ree) were consumed in an exploding sun but were reborn by the grace of Alara the Lightbringer. It is through this kinship with the galaxy’s suns and the solar phoenixes that hatch from within them that the Solari are bestowed with light and resplendence.
Solari tend to be graceful with especially long, pointed ears and floating hair that spans a gradient of vibrant hues. More muted but covering a broad gamut of warm tones, their skin tone encompasses pale pinks and oranges of sunset, hearty chestnut, and soft terracotta.
Solari Traits
As a Solari, you have these special traits.Enduring Passion
When you or a creature you can see within 30 feet of you fails a D20 Test, you can take a Reaction to give the target Heroic Inspiration. The target can choose to use it on the triggering roll. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
Illuminate
You know the Light cantrip. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it (choose the ability when you select this species).
Lightbringer's Glare
As a Bonus Action, you can unleash a blaze of solar radiance. Each creature of your choice within a 15-foot Emanation originating from you takes Radiant damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You can use this Bonus Action a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Phoenix Rising
Immediately after you succeed or fail on a Death Saving Throw, you can ignore the result and regain Hit Points equal to your level. You immediately rise to your feet and use Lightbringer’s Glare (no action required). You don’t expend a use of that trait, and the size of its Emanation increases to 30 feet. Other creatures of your choice in that area regain Hit Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
Solar Mettle
You have Resistance to Radiant damage.
