Homebrew Ceremorph Species Details

Mind Flayers are known far and wide as master manipulators and apex predators, but sometimes Ceremorphosis doesn't go according to plan. Perhaps your parasite wasn't up to snuff, or maybe your past life's passions and convictions were too strong to be stifled by the overwhelming urge to eat brains and lose yourself to the Hive. Whatever the cause, your life is once again in your hands as a Stunted Illithid (or Quasiceremorph).

Illithid schemes can be intensely personal and petty, or they can span entire galaxies. Their greatest strength is their ability to assimilate other life forms into their collective, but now you find yourself severed from the constant plans for domination. Whether you seek a connection like the one you lost or a return to some semblance of normalcy, you'd be wise to steer clear of Mind Flayers, lest they attempt to purge their error or worse, finish the process.
