Homebrew Ayleid(Remastered) Species Details
- The "Wild" Elves: While their cousins in Summerset (Altmer) followed strict cultural regulations, the Ayleids were a splinter group that left for central Tamriel in the Middle Merethic Era to establish their own culture, often preferring Daedric worship over Aedra.
- Ayleidoon Language: Their language, Ayleidoon, translates to "The Hidden Ones".
- Daedra Worship: They were widely known for their worship of Daedric Princes and practiced dark arts, including "flesh sculpture," which involved twisting, cutting, and rearranging living subjects into morbid art displays.
- City-States: They established a confederation of city-states, with the White-Gold Tower (the "Temple of the Ancestors") as their heart.
- Starlight Magic: The Ayleids were masters of magic, specifically known for "starlight technology" and the use of Ayleid Wells to capture magical energy.
- Elven Features: They resembled Altmer (High Elves) but were distinct in culture and, sometimes, coloration.
- Complexion: Ayleids were generally described as darker than Altmer but lighter than Dunmer, with skin tones ranging from light tan to bronze, and occasionally white, similar to the Bosmer.
- Appearance in ESO: In The Elder Scrolls Online, they are depicted with skin tones ranging from white to dark yellow, with blue, yellow, or green eyes.

- Enslavement of Men: The Ayleids ruled the Heartlands of Cyrodiil and enslaved the early human Nede population, treating them brutally.
- The Alessian Rebellion: The human slave rebellion, led by Saint Alessia in 1E 243, saw the fall of the White-Gold Tower, marking the beginning of the end for the Ayleid Empire.
- Disappearance: Following the rebellion, they were largely killed, forced into exile, or assimilated into other elven populations (like the Bosmer in Valenwood).
- Extinction: By the time of the main Elder Scrolls games (e.g., Oblivion, Skyrim), the Ayleids are considered an extinct race, with only their ruins and artifacts remaining. The Elder Scrolls Online features one of the few known surviving Ayleids, King Laloriaran Dynar.
- Ayleids and Altmer: While genetically related to Altmer, they were considered a distinct, divergent race in ESO due to their drastically different cultural and religious practices.
- Ayleids and Humans: Primarily antagonists to humans in their prime, though some Ayleid lords aligned with the Direnni to protect human allies.
Ayleid(Remastered) Traits
Elf TraitsDark Vision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Languages
Your character knows at least three languages: Common plus two languages you roll or choose from the Standard Languages table. Knowledge of a language means your character can communicate in it, read it, and write it. Your class and other features might also give you languages.
The Standard Languages table lists languages that are widespread on D&D worlds. Every player character knows Common, which originated in the planar metropolis of Sigil, the hub of the multiverse. The other standard languages originated with the first members of the most prominent species in the worlds of D&D and have since spread widely.
Magical Attunement
allows the user to have a natural attunement to magic and magical items due to the elvin hertiage of the aylied race and their unique ability to build and create wells of magic along with their magnificent citys.
