Homebrew Blob Human Species Details

Blob Humans are a race of humanoid creatures created by Laogzed, god of gluttony. They often closely resemble humans but on average are much fatter and taller than one. They can be identified by their thick fatty skin as well as their slightly melted facial features.

Blob Human are often looked down upon because of the god they were created by but they are actually quite friendly and nice. They enjoy sharing food and and drink alike. Food is one of their biggest values as it is a their source of magical and physical power.

 

Blob Humans get very upset if they go without eating for more than 24 hours and will do almost anything for food. This is what drives their culture. Often Blob Human much like Firbolg live in small communities in the forests and sometimes Mountaintops of the forgotten realm. This is for a very different reason; Blob humans are innate hunters and fighters. In their small communities, every week, they go on a hunt and kill as many animals as needed for the upcoming week. They are also known to kill monsters and eat them as well. Blob humans do not enjoy sharing their food when they find it on their own, they do not even know why, nobody does all they know is that it is theirs. This lust for food causes them to value it more than money. Blob humans live to eat and will pay any amount of money to try a new food even if it is poisoned. Luckily they have developed an iron stomach to combat it.

Recommended Classes: Blob humans make great Fighters, Barbarians, and Rangers due to their live by the hunt life style.

Alignment: Blob Humans are almost always Chaotic Good as they will do anything for food but still keep strong and tight relationships with the ones they love.

Blob Human Traits

Blob humans are a very tanky species due to their foodie biology.

Thick Skin

Blob humans store fat similar to walrus' this allows them to have a built in armor giving them a +2 to their armor class when wearing light armor and when unarmored.

Iron Stomach

Blob Humans can digest almost anything including any creture they eat a body part of. They also have immunity to poison if they ingest it.

Borrowed Biology

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your character level per short rest Level 1-3. at level 4+ you may gain half the slots on a short rest and all on a long rest.

The way this ability works is something like taking fire breath from the stat block of an adult red dragon and using that exact ability (cooldown and everything) for 30 minutes. You may not gain a technical characteristic like multi-attack because it is unique to the creature itself and not an ability a normal player can attain.

+2 to strength +1 to constitution  (Can't exceed 20)
