Homebrew Boggle Species Details

Boggles are small fey only two and a half to three feet tall, often with oversized, if somewhat squishy, heads. Although some have a pernicious nature their small stature and general physical weakness have honed their flight response, giving them several defensive adaptations. They emit a clear (nonflammable) oil from their skin at will that can either be sticky, slimy, or both. This allows them to escape capture, climb walls, and other tricksome things. They also have a minor talent for creating dimensional rifts, making them incredibly hard to pin down. They may have a reputation for causing mischief, but this is not always the case. Many a boggle just wants to do what they do best - eat grubs and bugs and keep out of the way of the big folk that would do them harm.
