Homebrew Anvilwrought Species Details

In the volcanic heart of Mount Velus, the forge of the gods burns eternal. It is here, amid the ringing of divine hammers and the heat of creation, that the first Anvilwroughts were created. They are not born of flesh and blood, but forged of bronze, silver, iron, and gold. Crafted as living masterpieces, they were originally designed as immortal sentinels, tireless artisans, or perfect companions.

While the earliest Anvilwroughts were created directly by the hands of Purphoros and given the spark of sentience, the secrets of their construction have slowly trickled down to the mortal realms. Master artisans and legendary artificers now occasionally succeed in coaxing a soul into a masterwork chassis with Purphoros's blessing, bringing a new Anvilwrought to life.

Because they are constructed rather than born, an Anvilwrought possesses a calculating mind and a physical form built to endure extreme punishment. Their existence is defined by their "Maker's Mark"—an internal drive or programmed purpose that pushes them toward a specific calling, whether it be mastering a trade, protecting a lineage, or unraveling the mysteries of the multiverse. They are beings of cold logic and burning internal furnaces, standing as walking testaments to the pinnacle of craftsmanship.
