Homebrew Abhumus Caropila Species Details

A small, rare species of abhuman born from dark cult rituals merging Beholder and Man. These creatures are created for their immense power to harness magic and channel it. Due to them only having one eye, rather than the multitudes that beholders have, the magic is focused through one location, making these creatures immensely powerful. They range in size from about the size of a marble to about a meter wide. Due to their immense telepathic link, some mages and lich use them atop a staff to channel their power. Because of this, they are highly sought after. Only 5 powerful ones were ever created and documented. Olgus, Caropila of the Abyss, Skoryll, Caropila of The Upper Planes, Purkasi, Caropila of The Nine Hells, Cazrak, Caropila of Limbo, and Bertram, Caropila of the Material Plane. There are also countless less powerful ones the size of marbles.

Skoryll: 1 Meter Wide

Purkasi: 2 Feet Wide

Abhumus Caropila Traits

Round, one-eyed creatures with large mouths. Rolling, unless they cast a spell to float. Round, and resembling beholders, but without the extra eyes and with skin instead of scales.
