Homebrew Wandering Dryad Species Details
When the denizens of the forest have lost, and their home has been blighted and burned, they must find new lands to call home. But what of those who can't leave? What of the dryads driven to madness that will soon wither away?
Succor and Sacrifice
There are times when a treant sees the lamentable state of their fellow woodland protector. In an attempt to aid the dying dryad, they may call to the druids for help. An ancient ritual is performed, and the dryad becomes bound to the treant, but this comes at a price. To preserve that which it wishes to protect, the treant must die. Over decades it shrinks and withers, giving its essence to heal the maddened fey, until all that remains is the dryad—and the melded soul of the two.
A New Life
This transformation brings a new purpose to the dryad. Those whose souls are predominantly of the treant will go forest to forest, protecting their cousins from the harm they had once endured. Others lean more towards their fey roots, curiosity driving them to roam the lands they have never been able to travel.

If you do not, you suffer one level of exhaustion everyday, which you can only be healed of by resting in this manner.
Tree Stride
Once on your turn, you can use 10 feet of your movement to step magically into one living tree within reach and emerge from a second living tree within 60 feet of the first tree, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the second tree.
