Homebrew Godscarred Species Details

The Godscarred are ancient beings engineered as living vessels for catastrophic divine remnants. Their bodies resemble sculpted stone, marked by glowing fractures that leak emotional energy when control slips.

Many mistake them for demons, though they are something far older and far less understood. Their faces are fused beneath ceremonial masks, leaving them unable to speak traditionally. Instead, Godscarred communicate through telepathic presence that echoes directly within the minds of others.

Legends claim the first Godscarred were created during forgotten wars between gods and titans, designed not as soldiers, but as prisons.

Though terrifying in appearance, Godscarred are not inherently evil. Most spend their lives attempting to suppress the overwhelming force sealed within them.

Godscarred Traits

Ashborn possess supernatural durability, emotional fracture-light, and an unnatural telepathic presence tied to the divine remnants sealed within them.

Languages

Through telepathic resonance and ancient divine understanding, you can communicate in Common and Celestial.

Fractured Physique

Your body resembles living stone reinforced by divine force.
While you are not wearing armor, your Armor Class equals 14 + your Dexterity modifier.

You also count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Silent Presence

Your face is fused beneath a ceremonial mask, leaving you unable to speak traditionally.

You can mentally communicate with creatures within 30 feet of you that understand at least one language.
This communication is one-way unless a creature possesses telepathy of its own.

Your telepathy cannot be used to fulfill verbal spell components.

Fracture Light

The divine force sealed within you manifests visibly during moments of emotional intensity.

Your body emits dim light in a 10-foot radius whenever you experience powerful emotions such as rage, grief, fear, hatred, or resolve.

The color of this light changes depending on your emotional state:

• Crimson — Rage

• Pale Blue — Sorrow

• Gold — Protection

• Violet — Fear or Loss of Control

• White — Peaceful

• Black — Hatred

*You may suppress this effect as a bonus action for 4 hours once per day*

Divine Instability

The divine entity sealed within your body fights violently against destruction.

When you are reduced below half your maximum hit points, you may use your reaction to partially release the force within you.

Until the start of your next turn, you gain resistance to all damage except psychic damage.

During this state, your Fracture Light erupts violently, illuminating the area around you with unstable divine energy.

*Once you use this trait, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest*

Darkvision

Accustomed to existing between mortal reality and divine shadow, you can see in dim light within 60 feet of yourself as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.

You discern colors in darkness only as shades of gray.

Deathless Nature

The divine force sealed within your body sustains you beyond normal mortal limitations.

You have advantage on saving throws against disease.

You require significantly less food and drink than normal humanoids, and your body temperature remains unnaturally cold regardless of environment.

Titan Blooded

Your body was created for catastrophic conflict and overwhelming physical force.

You gain proficiency in the Athletics skill.
