Homebrew Arbitra Species Details

A spirit race created by the god of knowledge to live the life of humanoid races, recording their experiences to be added to the well of knowledge.  They are born by inhabiting a body of a still-born baby of a humanoid race.  They grow up as a child of that race never knowing what they are until death, at which time the Arbitra will be full of life experience and go to the well of knowledge to deposit the experience, before returning to the material plane to inhabit a new still-born. They themselves will not know they are anything but what body they inhabit.  This is a part of a blessing bestowed by the god of knowledge "Oghma" that prevents the Arbitra's existence from contaminating the lif experience. Oghma also blessed the Arbitra to be natural wise and perceptive.  However this blessing supersedes there racial boons of the still-borns, so often times they are seen as weaklings of whichever race they are inhabiting. The Arbitra are an immortal race which has no concept of time when not attached to a humanoid vessel. Once the Arbitra's vessel dies it will go directly to the well of knowledge without stopping for anything, where it cleanses itself by depositing the life experience. Afterward, it starts its life cycle all over again with no recollection of what happened in the previous life.
