Homebrew Zaterran Species Details

Zaterrans are reptilian beings averaging about 8 feet tall. they have long tails, often used in intimidation displays that resembles a crocodile tail. Contrary to the crocodile like tail, zaterrans have short, wide mouths filled with teeth and support their long tongues. They can expel an acidic liquid from numerous sections of their bodies, such as their mouths, hands, and tongue. This acid has been seen to quickly break down humanoids it comes into contact with, suggesting that their teeth are better used for ripping and tearing, rather than chewing, so they must secrete acid to break down their food. Zaterrans can also shift their form to look humanoid or to turn invisible. This trait is often used to infiltrate other humanoid communities, as they often don't get along well. Zaterrans also have a matriarchal society, and any zaterrans that drift from the influence of the matriarch slowly lose their ability to change form.
