Homebrew Crawler Species Details

The Crawlers are a hated sort of "copied" Dragonborn. Their name means , well, "crawler" in Common and is used as an insult in most of the Overland. The Crawlers are known as the Yakasimba in Sona. The Yakasimba originated after the Greater Dragonborn were created. Zir became jealous of Azhodehya's design for the Dragonborn, and he asked Zandegi to help him create one more race. A black scaled cave dweller. The Yakasimba were then cursed by Azhodehya and became much more like lizards than Dragonborn. They became disgraced, and called Crawlers, because of their maker, even though their treatment is unjust. The curse only afflicted them slightly, but it is unknown what happened. The only known thing is it just made them stronger and more hateful.

Yakasimba appear as ash-colored lizards that mostly crawl around on all fours. They appear much like a Komodo dragon most times. They have large, brightly colored spines on their backs and heads and use acid as a breath weapon.
