Homebrew Aspect Phoenix Species Details
As the separated aspects of a greater, whole Phoenix, the Aspect Phoenix are lesser Phoenix that embody specific elements. Created through the magical process of separating the cinder of a Phoenix in rebirth, they exist as a sort of Hive Mind into one whole.
Aspect Phoenix are colored appropriately to the Element they embody, and appear as a Phoenix but much smaller.
Aspect Phoenix Traits

Size: Small (about 2–4 feet tall)
Speed: 20 feet Walking, 40 feet Flying
Elemental Affinity
Your Elemental Affinity attunes your resonance to that of an aspect of the world. Choose a Color from the Elemental Affinity table. Your choice affects your Death and Rebirth, Damage Resistance traits, as well as your appearance.

Death and Rebirth
If you die, you explode. Each creature in 10-foot-radius sphere centered on you must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d20 damage of the type determined by your Elemental Affinity trait on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The explosion destroys the your body and leaves behind an egg-shaped cinder, which weighs 5 pounds. The cinder deals 6d6 damage to any creature that touches it, though no more than once per round. The cinder is immune to all damage, and after 1d6 days, you hatch from it.
Damage Resistance
You have Resistance to the damage type determined by your Elemental Affinity trait.
Illumination
You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. You can toggle this trait as a bonus action.
Siege Monster
You deal double damage to objects and structures.
Unwieldy
You cannot wear or use items that are not fitted to you.
Hive Mind
You experience all senses and thoughts of all Phoenix from your same ashes. You can freely communicate with them additionally. (More of a roleplay feature up to DM choice of usage).
