Homebrew Half-Ghost Species Details
Half-Ghosts are people who have died but aren't finished with their business. Fusing their physical form with their own ghost in order to finish what they started. Although this form is mainly physical, they're able to unleash their ghostly potential in order to make up for their lost power that was stripped away from them when they died.
Half-Ghost Traits
Whether you're a brave adventurer with an unfinished quest, a Picasso with an unfinished masterpiece, or a bard who has not yet seduced they're dragon; Half-Ghosts will strive to finish whatever they couldn't with their second chance at life.Ability Score Increase
Your Half-Ghost form has made your body almost weightless and your body does not get sick easily. Making your body more dexterous and more agile.
Age
Half-Ghosts stop aging as soon as they become half ghost. Allowing them to live on for centuries at a time without looking any older.
Size
Half-Ghost's come in all shapes and sized. Choose a Small or Medium size with a weight of 1-5 pounds.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet and you have a flight speed of 35.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Even after your death, you still remember the languages you knew in your lifetime.
Gone But Not Forgotten
Despite being in a new body, your character still has the full memory of their past. Allowing you to hold onto a certain skill from your past life.
Phantom Walk
You, like many ghosts, have the ability to walk through walls, floors, ceilings, or any other form of solid matter. However, since you're only Half-Ghost, you can only do this a certain number of times per day. You may exceed this amount at any time, but in doing so will cause your body to become permanently non-solid and will be unable to interact with any physical objects or cast any spells. You unlock this ability at 3rd level and may use it twice every short rest.
