Homebrew Abyss walker Species Details

Abyss walkers were cast out of their home land simply called "the sacred lands" by a disaster called "the great calamity", to escape it, they went deep into the earth, far from their home in the sky, most abyss walkers are accompanied by companions called "witnesses" who give the abyss walkers special abilitys depending on what witness they choose. Abyss walkers have a mask, wings, and horns, despite this, they are NOT demons, they are what can be compared to dolls. Abyss walkers dont gain exp to level up, instead, whenever they kill a monster, do parkour, or collecting echos, echos can be used to open locked doors that hold prizes like echos, masks, wings, dyes, or music disks!

Abyss walker Traits

A tall doll like figure that has some parts of it glowing with dyes they can apply to change the glow color, they have a mask, wings, and other cosmetics.

Witness choice

With this, you can choose one out of two witness abilitys, the first is a levitate, the other is high jump. levitate allows you to pause your falling and move mid-air for a short period in exchange for abyssal energy/exp, while high jump allows you to jump 50 ft in the air in exchange for abyssal energy/exp.

Levitate costs a constant 1 abyssal energy (AE) per second at a total of a 10 AE cost for 10 seconds of levitation, after you stop levitating, you dont take fall damage unless you fall 50+ ft after you use it, you cant use it twice in mid air.

High jump has an instant cost of 15 AE per use, then another 5 on the landing, you wont take fall damage unless you fall 50+ ft after you use the ability.

Winged jump

You just get a double jump that is the same distance of your normal jump, but you can do this once, and to do it again, you have to be near another party member, being near another abyss walker recharges it 2x as fast (can only be charged one at a time, needing to recharge after one use)

being near a non-abyss walker charges once per minute

being near an abyss walker charges in half the time as being near a non-abyss walker.

Ability score balance

this is just used to balance you in gameplay.

you get advantage on ability checks, and you get bonus hit points!

Extra features

you get the languages: abyssal, celestial, and common, and you are immune to poison.
