Homebrew Astaloskin Species Details
Despite looking insectoid and bearing a passing resemblance to the Thri-Kreen, Astaloskin are actually dragonborn. Known as "Thunder Wyverns", Astaloskins body is almost entirely covered in sharp, dark green plating, although it has a brighter colored underside. Unlike any other dragonborn, Astaloskins wings resemble those of an insect, most precisely a glasswing butterfly's wings. Its thin legs have three toes. Its tail is long, making up almost half of the their size, and it has two pairs of earwig-like pincers at the tip. It has a relatively small head, with a big horn on top of it. Its eyes are most often reds, electric blues, or bright greens.
Astaloskin's whole body is technically an electrical organ. Astaloskin uses Piezoelectricity — as an Astaloskin fights and becomes more active, Its tail, wings, and crest will begin to charge up with electricity. This can easily be seen by looking for green surges of electricity on those parts of its body. Astaloskin's flying abilities are much more adept compared to other dragonborn with the help of its powerful wings. Its wings are tough, covered in spikes.
