Homebrew Accurate Half-Dragon (5e SRD) [FIXED] Species Details
Half-Dragon Story
You have some of the traits of a dragon, but you aren’t a true dragon yourself. Unlike dragonborn, which are dragon-like humanoids, you receive your draconic traits or appearance from a draconic ancestor.
Half-dragons can be from any ancestry and are often the offspring of a dragon and another humanoid. However, arcane accidents and mutations can also give birth to a half-dragon.
Half-dragons manifest different traits as a result of their ancestry.
Some have brightly colored scales on parts of their skin, while others have horns or even wings. The assortment of possible traits is as varied as there are types of dragons.
Draconic Diversity
Dragons come in many different shapes and sizes and have unique adaptations to their environments. Depending on the type of half-dragon you are, you could have functioning wings, gills, or a powerful breath weapon. Draconic traits manifest differently in everyone, and it’s possible to have a set of vestigial wings or a tail even if they can’t be used.
Dragon Parents
Not every half-dragon is the direct descendant of a dragon.
For some people, the draconic power in their bloodline could lie dormant for generations before suddenly manifesting.
For those with a dragon parent, their upbringing may be unusual or even difficult. The dragon often prefers to let the humanoid parent raise the child, as their upbringings are more likely to be similar. If they have to raise their half-dragon offspring, they may have a hard time taking care of all of their humanoid needs. (“Wait, your food needs to be cooked?”)
Dragon Instinct
Dragons have a number of instincts that their humanoid offspring might have to contend with while growing up. The desire to have a hoard is common to all dragons, which can manifest as collecting or hoarding in a half-dragon. Half-dragons either learn to cope with these instincts or give in to them.
Half-Dragon Names
Half-dragons can have draconic names, names from their other ancestry, or a fusion of the two.
Example Names: Ralagesh, Lilsomar, Rehka, Lance.

Feature Explanation
PLEASE READ
In short, Half-Dragons have many potential traits available to them, but can only choose a select few during creation.
You get two Major Features and two Minor Features to choose from, but you may select an additional two Minor Features for four total if you sacrifice one of your Major Features.
Of course, this is my first time even interacting with the DnD Beyond community or even Homebrew creation in general, so limiting yourself to a number of Features goes off of the honor system, as I'm either not skilled enough or the Homebrew creator itself makes imposing restrictions like that impossible. I've specifically made an automatic (Didn't Choose Feature) option for each Feature in the case you don't pick them, so use your allotted points truthfully pretty please.
If you have any questions or inquiries, I HEAVILY advise visiting the 5e SRD itself to see if there's anything that'll help you (just type in "5e SRD Half-Dragon" into a browser). Otherwise, just ask your DM and come up with something with them. The best kind of Homebrew is the wrong kind of Homebrew, after all.
Sincerely, Polyester Pants.

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and a different one by 1, or increase three scores by 1. None of these increases can raise a score above 20.

You count as both a Humanoid and a Dragon for any effects, whether positive or negative.
Languages
Your character knows at least three languages: Common and Draconic plus one language you roll or choose from the Standard Languages table. Knowledge of a language means your character can communicate in it, read it, and write it. Your class and other features might also give you languages.
The Standard Languages table lists languages that are widespread on D&D worlds. Every player character knows Common, which originated in the planar metropolis of Sigil, the hub of the multiverse. The other standard languages originated with the first members of the most prominent species in the worlds of D&D and have since spread widely.

Breath Weapon (Costs One Major Feature)
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of magical energy in either a 15-foot Cone or a 30-foot Line that is 5 feet wide (depends on ancestry). Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity or Constitution (depends on ancestry) saving throw (DC 8 plus your Constitution modifier and Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 damage of the type determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d6 when you reach character levels 6 (3d6), 11 (4d6), and 16 (5d6).
You can use this Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Aquatic Adaptation (Costs One Major Feature)
You have a swim speed of 30 feet, and can breathe air and water.
Draconic Fear (Costs One Major Feature)
You can use your action to intimidate those around you. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that can see and hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw. The DC is 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. On a failed save, a target becomes frightened of you for 1 minute. If the frightened target takes any damage, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a successful save. After you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
Draconic Wings (Costs TWO Major Features)
You have a flying speed of 30 feet. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armor.
Dragon Senses (Costs One Major Feature)
You have blindsight with a radius of 30 feet.
Legendary Resistance (Costs One Major Feature)
When you fail a saving throw, you can make another attempt, taking the highest result. Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Light Wings (Costs One Major Feature)
You have a flying speed of 30 feet, but you must land at the end of your turn or begin falling.
Darkvision (Costs One Minor Feature)
You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Damage Resistance (Costs One Minor Feature)
You have Resistance to the damage type determined by your Draconic Ancestry trait.
Draconic Scales (Costs One Minor Feature)
When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield’s benefits apply as normal when you use your natural armor.
Dragon Eyes (Costs One Minor Feature)
You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Fair Value (Costs One Minor Feature)
Your hoarding instincts allow you to spot the true value of items, or to warp that sense for others.
Fluent (Costs One Minor Feature)
Whether it be heritage, study, or something else, you have learned to read, write, and speak two additional languages.
Natural Weaponry (Costs One Minor Feature)
You possess the natural weaponry of a dragon, such as claws, fangs, or a tail. These are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage (depending on the type of weaponry) equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the normal bludgeoning damage for an unarmed attack. Your natural weapons are considered to have the light and finesse weapon properties. They are not weapons, but attacks with them are considered weapon attacks. This means that you can use your natural weapons for effects like the paladin’s divine smite, but feats like dual wielder do not apply the AC bonus.
Trained Tools (Costs One Minor Feature)
You have proficiency in two tools of your choice.
