Homebrew Fire Tribe Venavis Species Details

The Fire Tribe often resembles terrestrial birds, like roosters and cassowaries. While they have the same aggression and loud screeches of their inspiration, they still maintain the ability to fly, and possess wings that can ignite at will. The largest of the fire tribe live on the plains; creating cities from hundreds of tents and teepees. During the war, fire tribe venavis specialized in sabotage, ruining draconic lairs and hunting grounds to force them into unfavorable positions. While many still find work as mercenaries, many have taken to sherpherding massive herds of cattle.

Venavis

Long thought to be related to the aarakocra, the venavis are a species shaped by Tehiri itself. When dragons assaulted Tehiri during the War of the Frozen Hells, the gods Hacina and Darasif performed a rare act of cooperation and created the venavis from ordinary birds found in Leonios. They would be a divine species, destined to protect the land and sky alike from the draconic scourge, and specialized to face them wherever they'd appear. Even now, with the war over, the four most prominent tribes remain vigilant over Tehiri, awaiting the day they're needed again.
