Homebrew Artificial Saint Species Details

Artificial Saints are living constructs forged through countless years of experimentation. Created by combining mortal flesh and blood with sacred rituals, holy relics, and fragments of celestial power, they were designed to become flawless saints capable of standing against the greatest evils. Every Artificial Saint is the culmination of innumerable failures. For every one that awakens, countless imperfect vessels are discarded, their bodies unable to withstand the divine energy placed within them or just succumb to the process of mutating in the making process.

Although their bodies are artificially created, they are not mindless constructs. Each Artificial Saint possesses a genuine soul, capable of growth, emotion, love, fear, and doubt. Their thoughts are their own, and while some choose to embrace the purpose for which they were created, others reject it entirely in search of a life they can truly call their own.

Despite being considered artificial lifeforms, Artificial Saints are astonishingly lifelike. Their skin is warm, their hearts beat, and they bleed as any other humanoid would. They eat, sleep, breathe, and tire like ordinary people, both because their bodies require it and because their creators intentionally sought to reproduce every aspect of natural life. Only the intricate network of divine sigils hidden beneath their skin, the unnatural purity of their souls, and the holy power sealed within them reveal that they are something fundamentally different.

Many Artificial Saints possess flawless appearances, seemingly untouched by disease or imperfection. Hair, eyes, and even their voices often carry an almost supernatural beauty, giving others the unsettling impression of standing before someone who is almost human—but somehow more. Some develop glowing markings beneath their skin whenever they channel divine power, while others radiate an indescribable aura that instinctively inspires hope, reverence, or unease.

Yet this perfection often comes at a terrible cost. Artificial Saints frequently struggle to understand ordinary human emotions. Because they were created with a singular purpose rather than raised naturally, many find concepts like friendship, family, jealousy, or romance confusing during their early lives. Some remain emotionally distant, while others become deeply fascinated with the people around them, desperately trying to understand what it truly means to live.

To churches, kingdoms, and secret organizations, an artificial Saint is often viewed less as a person and more as a relic or living weapon. Some are worshipped as holy messengers. Others are hunted by those wishing to control or dissect them. A fortunate few escape their creators entirely, wandering the world in search of freedom and the answer to a question that every Artificial Saint eventually asks themselves:

"If I was created for someone else's purpose... what purpose do I choose for myself?"

Please dont mind any tipping errors since english isnt my first language. Also I take heavy inspo from Damn Reincarnation for making this species.
