Homebrew [DTD] Halfling Species Details
Halflings are an affable and cheerful people that look like small humans with large, exceptionally hairy feet. They cherish the bonds of family and friendship as well as the comforts of hearth and home, harboring few dreams of gold or glory. Even adventurers among them usually venture into the world for reasons of community, friendship, wanderlust, or curiosity. They love discovering new things, even simple things, such as an exotic food or an unfamiliar style of clothing. Halflings are easily moved to pity, and hate to see any living thing suffer. They are generous, happily sharing what they have even in lean times. They live in small shires hidden in the thick Nelwyn Forest trying their best to stay out of danger. Many of them have an unnatural luck that is believed to have been bestowed upon them by their creator deity, the Bountiful Host, Auramelio, to keep them safe. Halflings follow an unwritten code of hospitality, wherein they do the utmost to be courteous, kind, and generous to any they invite into their homes, or any who invited them as a guest, even if the individual is an enemy.
Subrace
The two main kinds of halfling, lightfoot and stout, are more like closely related families than true subraces. The strangest of the halflings are the Jinx. Choose one of these subraces or one from another source.
