Homebrew Akri Species Details

They were born on Akron IV. A harsh zero atmosphere desert planet with high gravity, high radiation, and temperatures upward of 500 degrees. They could only live underground and the only food were rock grubs. A larvae that was placed inside rocks. They used their powerful jaws to split the rocks to eat the grubs.

Since they were underground all their lives they never developed eyes, instead relying on extremely sensitive antennae to navigate. Even if they did get to the surface Akron Sol is a dark star, releasing no light in the visible spectrum. Only releasing heat and radiation.

Akri can excrete 2 different saliva in their mouth. An acidic saliva they used to melt rocks and create their homes. And their regular saliva is a strange numbing and antiseptic agent. Thus an Akri could amputate a limb painlessly and cleanly and some of them have this as their profession.

Akri are incredibly hardy with a particular resistance towards radiation.

When they were discovered they eagerly agreed to abandon their homeworld in favor of much more comfortable living places on other worlds.

However reproduction can only occur on their home planet. They have a Spartan outlook on children and if the child cannot survive their infant and toddler years on their home planet, they do not want their genes in the gene pool. Furthermore it gives them a greater appreciation for the technology they are surrounded in. However to prevent feral development, the Akri children are permitted to meet once a week in a safe controlled environment to socialize, play, and do other child activities. But once the day is over they will have to return to survival.

If the child makes it to 10 years old the parents remove them from the planet and teach them and parent them for 10 more years. Then they will assist them in finding a profession.

A fanged maw to make unarmed strikes. Does piercing damage equal to 1d6+strength modifier.

Blindsight

Akri do not have eyes and rely on antennae to see. you are effectively blind beyond 60 feet
