Homebrew Discworld Troll Species Details

Trolls do not have much in the way of religion, apart from knowledge of Tac, the opposed creator of the world. This myth is believed by the dwarfs, however, the dwarfs also quarrel with the trolls. The biggest example of this is the battle of Khum Valley, where the dwarfs ambushed the trolls, and the trolls ambushed the dwarfs. The closest they have to religion, however, is their king, Diamond King of Trolls, and his repeated coming trough the ages.

Trolls are big, hard creatures made of stone, clay, ores, and gems. However, they are different from golems, since they have feelings and a thirst for dwarf blood that, no matter what, always has a slight chance of appearing in a trolls demeanor. Their silicon brains will become smarter or dumber depending on the temperature. A hot temperature, like the desert, will make a troll so stupid that the can't count to three. A cold temperature, like the tundra, will boost a trolls intellectual abilities so high as to do complex algebra problems and even make math so simple, that to the common brain, it is complex beyond complexity.
