Homebrew Demi-God: Child of Hades Species Details

Hades is the god of the dead, ruler of the Underworld, and keeper of all souls that pass beyond the mortal realm. Unlike the god of death, who enacts the end of life, Hades oversees what comes after. He is also the god of underground riches (gems, metals, and wealth hidden beneath the earth) and is often associated with themes of secrecy, power, and inevitability. Though feared by mortals, Hades is not evil; he is unyielding, dutiful, and just. He is the eldest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, and brother to Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia.

Alongside Zeus and Poseidon, he is one of the Big Three, the most powerful of the Olympians. After the fall of the Titans, the three brothers divided the world between them, and Hades claimed dominion over the Underworld. Following a devastating war, the brothers made a pact to father no more demigods, fearing the destruction such children could bring. Any demigod born of Hades’ blood would be powerful beyond measure, but live under constant threat from the wrath and fear of his brothers.

Hades is married to Persephone, daughter of Demeter, whom he brought to the Underworld to rule beside him. Though their union began in darkness, many myths speak of a lasting bond forged through time. Hades wears a helm that renders him invisible and is often accompanied by Cerberus, his loyal three-headed hound. His presence is quiet, shadowed and absolute; he does not seek worship, only order.

Shadow Travel

Once per short rest, when you are in dim light or darkness, you can use your bonus action to teleport to another unoccupied space within 30 ft. that is also in dim light or darkness. If you use this feature to enter melee range with an unfriendly creature, you will gain the following effects.
You gain advantage on any attacks against them until the end of your turn.  As well, the first time you hit that creature with an attack before the end of your turn, the attack deals an extra 1d6 necrotic damage.
