Homebrew Bloomkiri Species Details

Physical Description

The Bloomkiri are humanoid creatures which have vibrant, unique flowers sprouting from their body. Their body is primarily made of wood, inherited from their parents similar to human feature inheritance, and their bodies sprout flowers that are unique to each individual. There are some with vast differences while others are more similar, ranging from a different number of petals to different color and form entirely. The emotions of the Bloomkiri can generally be read through the flowers that they sprout, as they tend to change when experiencing these emotional fluctuations. Since the flowers themselves are unique, one cannot tell upon first meeting one which emotion they are experiencing, although those that know an individual fairly well will most certainly be able to decipher their emotions. They don’t sleep but instead enter a trance when they need to rest. In that state, they remain aware of their surroundings although are not able to move; forming roots and pulling energy from the nutrients of the soil.

Homeland

Bloomkiri scholars often attribute the race's conception to their god, Amidral; said to be an ancient tree spirit who grew the forest in which Fleurena resides. The believers claim that Amidral put forth its own life force in order to grow the forest, as Amidral believed that sharing the beauty of what nature could be was worth more than living by oneself with great power. From this, the Bloomkiri were born. This philosophy shows in the people of Fleurena, as they have a deep sense of community and charity. As a result of this tight-knit nature, there are very few, if any, Bloomkiri who live outside of the vast forest they allegedly arose from.

Age

Bloomkiri mature at about the same rate as elves, maturing at around 100 years old and living until 750.
