Homebrew Aeralyn Species Details
Aeralyn are tiny, feathered fey who drift on the currents of wind and magic like living songbirds. No taller than a handspan, they resemble delicate humanoids with soft plumage instead of hair and wings of down and flight feathers that shimmer in shifting colours. Each Aeralyn reflects a unique avian aspect - bright and radiant like birds of paradise, silent as owls, or swift as swallows.
Deeply tied to the open air, Aeralyn build hidden nests in high branches, cliff faces, or even within unseen magical currents. They are quick, curious, and perceptive, drawn to stories, music, and fleeting emotions. Though playful, they are never truly careless; like birds, they are always alert to danger.
Their voices carry soft, melodic tones layered with avian notes, often infused with subtle magic. To larger folk, they may seem like fleeting spirits of feather and wind - but Aeralyn are thoughtful, willful people with their own perspectives, simply scaled to a smaller world.
