this species is extremely weak in all areas, but they are immortal and have the capabilities to adapt after their "rebirth" (every time they die they create a copy shortly after they die that they will inhabit)

immortality in this sense isnt regeneration it is like mystically creating copies of when your character at a set point when they are in pristine health with all the equipment they poses, when they die their body is left behind and they fabricate a new copy with all items memories etc

this trait activates in extreme amounts of stress and it activates after death, they will adapt to what killed them no matter what it was becoming highly resistant or immune to that thing only temporarily though
