Homebrew Cosmic Tiefling Species Details
As a Cosmic Tiefling, you have the following special traits.Cosmic Tieflings are either born at the literal outer edges of the multiverse or have planar ancestors who originated there. A Cosmic Tiefling (pronounced TEE-fling) is linked by blood to a hive-queen, a chaotic slaad deity, or a manifestation of raw planar energy. This connection to the outermost rings of cosmology is the Tiefling's cosmic legacy, which comes with the promise of power yet has no effect on the Tiefling's moral outlook, due to their generally self-interested nature.A cosmic Tiefling chooses whether to embrace, balance, or reject their cosmic legacy. The two legacies are described below.Axiomatic (Mechanus)
The absolute collectivism of Mechanus, the unwavering discipline of the Formian Hive, and the rigid social structures of the Clockwork Nirvana call to Tieflings who have the axiomatic legacy. Perfectly symmetrical features, a glossy and sleek chitinous sheen to the skin, fine antennae-like brow ridges, compound-gleaming eyes, and a faint pheromonal scent of ozone or honey are common physical features of such Tieflings, most of whom trace their lineage to the chitinous rulers of the great planar hives.Anarchic (Limbo)
The entropy of Limbo, the howling chaos of Ysgard, and the madness of Pandemonium call to Tieflings who have the anarchic legacy. Horns of completely asymmetrical shapes, skin tones that subtly shift like oil on water, fluid weightless hair, and liquid energy vortices for pupils are common physical features of such Tieflings, most of whom have the blood of chaos-shapers or slaadi coursing through their veins.Cosmic Tiefling Traits
