Cunning Linguists are a remarkably adaptable people whose natural gift for language allows them to communicate effortlessly across cultures, nations, and even worlds. To a Cunning Linguist, no spoken tongue sounds truly foreign and no written script remains indecipherable for long. Whether conversing with an ancient civilization, negotiating with distant travelers, or deciphering words written by an unfamiliar hand, language presents virtually no barrier to them.

Their extraordinary linguistic ability extends beyond simply understanding words. Cunning Linguists possess an instinctive appreciation for tone, phrasing, implication, and the subtle ways meaning changes depending on how something is said. This makes them naturally capable negotiators and conversationalists, able to choose their words carefully when diplomacy, deception, understanding, or intimidation is required.

Despite their remarkable gift, Cunning Linguists do not possess supernatural knowledge of the people with whom they communicate.
