Homebrew Aureli Species Details
Aureli are a people with an unusual affinity for wealth, value, and opportunity. Keen-eyed and naturally persuasive, they possess an almost instinctive understanding of what things are worth and how to turn favorable circumstances to their advantage.
Their connection to prosperity is more than simple talent. When hostile creatures fall in battle, Aureli can cause tangible gold to manifest from the victory itself, turning danger into profit in a way few other peoples can explain. This strange gift has made Aureli highly sought after as adventurers, treasure hunters, merchants, negotiators, and explorers.
Despite their reputation, Aureli are not necessarily greedy. Some view wealth as security, others as freedom, influence, or simply proof of a job well done. Their sharp senses and natural charisma make them skilled at spotting valuables, judging an item’s worth, and negotiating favorable deals.
Aureli communities often place great importance on trade, craftsmanship, reputation, and fair exchange. To an Aureli, value exists everywhere for those perceptive enough to recognize it. Every journey is an opportunity, every discovery has a price, and every hard-won victory has the potential to pay dividends.
