Homebrew Boa Naga Species Details
Boa Naga's are more resembling that of a Boa Constrictor compared to the other Naga's with poisonous ability. Having adapted to more of a life hidden in the dark shadowing woods near the mountain bases. They prefer solitary, and staying away from other humanoids. They are seen as aggressive otherwise. They are hostile towards threats, and often attack fast and first. Be wear of their coils as once they get a hold of you, they can crush you alive. Even with them being non venomous, their teeth are as sharp as any dagger. They are difficult foes that prefer just to be left alone. Boa Naga's aren't commonly found around villages or other settlements. However settlements of Boa Naga's can rarely be found, where adults raise their hatchlings until they are able to survive on their own, and where elders can find more protection in numbers. They are weary of those around, but there is a treaty during the time.
Boa Naga Traits
Creature Type: Humanoid
Size: Medium to Large, in the early part of their years they grow to roughly 5-8ft from tip of tail to head, however elders can be found roughly 10-30ft.
Age: Mature around 25 years living up to roughly 250 years. They grow rapidly till their late 20s before it slows down immensely, but they don't fully stop growing.
Speed: 30 feet
Thermal Senses
You're eyes aren't always meant to see like anyone else's. Not even people with Darkvision can compare. You have Blindsight however you can only see heat of creatures or objects around you with a range of 60 feet.
Natural Camouflage
Your scales are made to hide among the wilderness, however if your scales are gray to match the mountains its hard to hide your scales to flowery field.
Fanged
While you're aren't poisonous your fangs can still do damage, dealing, 1d4 plus your strength modifier, piercing damage.
Constrictions
Even your grappling is dangerous. When a creature is trapped in your coils, you can tighten and deal an unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Cold Blooded
Your scales aren't made to create heat, just absorb it. You take extra cold damage, and in cold biomes your movements are slowed to half.
Shunned
Being seen as hostile, and aggressive, Naga's are seen as monsters. You aren't very welcomed around most settlements with humanoids.
