Homebrew Deerfolk Species Details
Deerfolk were created by the God Vishnu long after the Era of Dragons, they were one of the first animal humanoid species based on the Deer that roamed the wilds. They started off as a very nomadic species that moved around to avoid the predatory beasts that would hunt them down if given the chance. To aid in this struggle, they were gifted heightened hearing so they could evade ambush and stay safe while on the move.
Deerfolk are bipedal humanoids with cloven hooves, unlike the more animalistic variant they have hands with opposable thumbs. They have a rack of antlers with Reindeerfolk having blunt antlers whereas common deerfolk have sharper almost bladelike antlers.
In present-day, deerfolk have left their nomadic ways, favoring the safety of towns and villages over the danger of the wilderness.
