Homebrew Amazonian Species Details
Congratulations, crawler. You have chosen—or been forcibly assigned—a lineage built around strength, endurance, tactical discipline, and the longstanding cultural belief that most problems become manageable once punched hard enough.
Amazonians are formidable humanoids, typically larger, stronger, and more physically resilient than baseline humans. Their societies prize competence, loyalty, self-reliance, and the ability to carry an unreasonable amount of gear without complaining. They are natural warriors, hunters, leaders, and deeply intimidating people to disappoint.
Your enhanced physique offers clear advantages in melee combat, intimidation, athletics, and surviving situations that would reduce lesser species to damp stains on the dungeon floor.
Potential drawbacks include oversized enemies deciding you look like a challenge, fragile allies assuming you can carry everything, and an increased likelihood that “subtlety” will become a team-wide joke at your expense.
Remember: strength is not merely the ability to strike your enemies. It is also the ability to stand between your companions and the thing trying to eat them. Preferably after striking it.
Amazonian Traits
The System has increased your intimidation footprint. Doorframes have filed an objection.
Athletic Build: Athletics proficiency. Count as one size larger when determining carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Brace: When an effect would knock you Prone or move you against your will, use your Reaction to prevent the Prone condition or reduce that movement by up to 10 feet. PB uses.
Warrior’s Reserve: As a Bonus Action, gain Temporary HP equal to your character level + PB. Once per Long Rest.
As an Amazonian, you have these special traits.
