Homebrew Cat Girl Species Details
Oh, look at you. Look what you did. Somewhere across the galaxy, millions of viewers just slammed the upvote button, and at least three corporate sponsors are already drafting merch contracts.
Before we address anything else: yes, the taxonomic label is Cat Girl. No, the System does not care what your actual gender is. You could be a grizzled, six-foot-four retired drywall contractor named Chuck with a beard down to your belt buckle, and your character sheet is still going to read Cat Girl. Deal with it. If you’d like to register a formal protest regarding naming conventions, please scream your grievance directly into the nearest meat grinder.
Here is what your dubious life choice actually gets you:
- Size Selection (Small or Medium): At creation, you decide whether you are a nimble, pocket-sized menace or standard humanoid-sized. Choose carefully. One makes you harder to hit; the other means you don’t get mistaken for a football by passing ogres.
- Darkvision (60 ft): Dungeon corridors are pitch black, terrifying, and full of sharp edges. You, however, can see perfectly fine up to sixty feet in dim light or darkness. Use this gift to watch your party members stumble face-first into wall spikes.
- Feline Agility: Your climb speed matches your base walking speed. Stone walls, collapsing scaffolding, giant monster backs—if it has texture, you can scramble up it like you own the place.
- Social Instinct: Gain proficiency in either Persuasion or Performance. Whether you’re weaponizing wide-eyed faux innocence to beg for extra rations or putting on a theatrical display to distract a crowd while your partner rigs an explosive, people just naturally want to watch you. Try not to let it go to your furry little head.
- Light Landing: Falling off a ledge? Blown out of a bell tower? Thrown by a teammate? As a reaction, you can stick the landing and reduce the incoming falling damage by five times your character level. You can do this a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus before needing to rest your joints. Physics still exists, crawler, but you get to negotiate with the floor a few times a day.
You’re quick, you’re charming, you can scale the architecture, and you fall with style.
Now go out there and try not to knock glassware off the edge of every table you encounter.
