Homebrew Ice Maiden Species Details

Look at you, walking into the meat grinder wrapped in permafrost and aesthetic melancholy. The viewers in the cryo-sectors are already placing bets on how long until you shatter like cheap crystal.

Here is what you get for leaning into the glacial aristocracy:

  • Creature Type (Fey): You are officially classified as Fey, not Humanoid. Enjoy the confusion this causes enemy spellcasters whose targeting menus only work on regular primates. Size is Small or Medium, chosen at creation. Pick Small if you want to look like an angry frost sprite; pick Medium if you prefer the full-sized haughty ice sculpture look.
  • Winter Flesh: You gain Resistance to Cold damage. Blizzards, freezing traps, and the chill of cosmic indifference will slide right off you. Room temperature, however, remains mildly offensive.
  • Winter Magic: You immediately unlock the Ray of Frost cantrip to slow down approaching problems before they get within biting range. Starting at character level 3, you gain Fog Cloud, because nothing says “tactical retreat” quite like vanishing into an ominous rolling mist while your party members take the blame.
  • Ice Step: You ignore Difficult Terrain caused by ice or snow. While everyone else is doing a frantic, limb-flailing cartoon slip-and-slide across frozen stone, you get to glide across it with sickening poise.
  • Clear Mind: You have advantage on saving throws against the Charmed condition. Your emotional core is roughly the temperature of liquid nitrogen; good luck to whatever swamp hag or succubus thinks a wink and a smile is going to alter your priorities.

You’re cold, you’re untouchable, and you never slip.

Try not to melt when things heat up.
