Homebrew Cosmic Biomasses (Symbiotes) Species Details

Symbiotes, being as varied as humans, are mutualistic lifeforms that seek refuge in the very construct of the universes that they inhabit. However, some unique symbiotes have learned to inhabit the very souls of species like Humans, Orcs, Demons, and plenty more to list. Symbiotes are solitary entities that hold separate personalities from their host and also hold extremely varied objectives, from helping their host prosper in their respective universe to eliminating every single living thing in their line of sight and proving themselves superior with their extremely varied powers for each respective symbiote. They don't generally worship any god or figure since they themselves are believed to be as powerful as what their host worships.

Adaptability

The symbiote will be able to copy the race of the host and gain the perks of said race.

Also, credit to the artist in the avatar image :), they did AMAZING!!!

Ability Score Compensation

Living in the deepest, darkest portions of your body, the respective symbiote will become a whole other character besides the MC and will compensate for your weaknesses. The stats of the symbiote are determined by swapping out your weakest stat for your strongest stat for each stat.

Example: Stats for the MC Str: 10, Dex: 12, Con: 16, Int: 19, Wis: 18, Cha: 11

Stats for Symbiote: Str: 19, Dex: 16, Con: 12, Int: 10, Wis: 11, Cha: 18

Natural-Born Killer

The host can no longer wield normal weapons. However, the symbiote can rearrange its own cells across the host's hands to form a weapon of the host's choice, but in the beginning it can only be 10% of the host's weight and has the same attack power as if the sword were made of rusted iron. As you progressively gain levels, the symbiote can form weapons of higher weight and harder material.

Critical Endeavour

Once the host is critically injured (5% health) in battle, the symbiote will take full form and attack for the host, leaving the host alive. If the symbiote ends up dying in Critical Endeavour, then both the symbiote and the character die. If you're in Critical Endeavour once the battle is over, your character fully heals in exchange for Exhaustion and not being able to attack every other turn for 3 turns.
