Homebrew Blight Species Details
Whether they were awoken by a curious Archdruid or some twisted fey, or created from seeds of an ancient sentient tree, the Blight live to serve.
The Blight are the perfect soldiers. Fully sentient yet they do not eat and they do not sleep, they only need sunlight and water, or blood, to live.
Once a Blight is created it is bound to servitude for 30 days. After this, they can choose their own life.
Sentient Plant-life
Every Blight is different, and there are many different variations of Blight, depending on the plant they are made from. The most common are Needle, Twig and Vine.
A Blight takes on a vague humanoid form, and can have either masculine or feminine traits, depending on the gender of the plant.
Needle blights are short and spikey, seemingly to be made from endless thorns and sharp bark.
Twig blights resemble the closest to saplings of trees, having thicker "limbs", with leaves for hair. These blight make up the majority of most plant army.
Vine blights are the generally the tallest, their humanoid shape is made from a mass of twisting and writhing vines.
Blight Personality
The blight were created to serve and to fight. As living plants, they generally do not show human emotions. Although Blights are intelligent due to the magic that creates them, their intelligence is somewhat alien to humankind. They understand threats and allies, but do not understand why some words or actions may make certain people angry or upset.
Blights are religious in their own right. They may worship an ancient Gulthias Tree as it was it's creator, or see an old Archdruid as godlike. Their hightened intelligence and inherited magic bloodline makes them adept wizards.
Blight Names
Most Blight do not have names as they are created as soldiers and are seen as expendable. Those that move on to have their own lives often call themself a plant related name, or possibly a feature of their own body.
