Homebrew Deerling Species Details
A curious creature, deerlings (known in various parts of Everon as "cervitaurs") bear the pointed ears of a fey, the upper half of a human, and the legs of a deer--not unlike a satyr, but with the lower body of a deer rather than a goat--and are often adorned with a majestic set of antlers. They hail primarily from the many forests of Everon, but to find a highland, plains, or even shore deerling is not uncommon. They live often in large, migratory herds or clans, though many live alone as well, and many maintain permanent or semi-permanent dwellings. The deerlings are almost paradoxical in their perfection--lithe yet sturdy, subtle yet charismatic, wise yet fun-loving, and well-loved when not the subject of unwanted negative attention due to their rarity in many locales.
