Homebrew Anuran Species Details

The Anuran is a legendary race of frog-like humanoids that live deep within the jungles and swamps of the Forgotten Realms. They are found in tribes and are known to be fierce and strong warriors, capable of many forms of combat both on land and water. Typically, there will be a chosen one from each village that will go out into the vast world, searching for new comrades or potentially new habitable areas to form new villages and new communities of the anuran kind. Even so, the Anuran never shy away from adventure, as they are always ready to embark on exciting journies and are excited by the thought of exploring the world or slaying great beasts. They are loyal and caring, willing to go to extremes to save those that they hold close and call friends of their own. Anuran Traits

Your frog-like nature grants you the following special abilities:

Ability Score Improvement

You get +2 to your Dexterity Score and +1 to your Constitution.

Darkvision

You can see in the dark in shades of grey up to 30ft.

Slime Coat

Opponents have Disadvantage on grapple checks due to your slime coated skin. If grappling fails, then the opponent has to make a Dexterity Saving Throw against the DC (8+ Constitution Modifier). If the throw is unsuccessful, then the opponent drops whatever items or objects they are holding.

Amphibious

You can breathe on land and underwater. You are also able to swim in water for 40 ft.

You can read, write, and speak Anuran (Aquan) and Common.
