Homebrew Astarian Species Details

Basic Information
Astarians are a race made by an unknown mad Tiefling, who sought to create the perfect being by mixing the blood of a Tiefling and an Aasimar. Many tries were made but most of them were failed prototypes, not even surviving in their embryo state. Until one day when a perfect prototype was made. The mad Tiefling made it into their servant until it gained free will and killed the Tiefling and ran away with another Astarian who they freed.

Astarian Physiology
Astarians age the same as humans in their early years until they reach 20 years old, then they stop aging and die at 500 years old, though sometimes Astarians can go beyond this age. When they reach this age, their height is in the range of 6' to 6'5". They have night-black skin, have horns resembling a Tiefling and have pupilless eyes. They are quite intimidating to newcomers.

Astarian society
Astarians right now only reside as a small tribe on the mountains. Although they seem quite intimidating they are easy-going and quiet people but won't hesitate to use force. They check up on any newborn Astarians and if they are "defective" Astarians than they shall be banished

Defective Astarians
Defective Astarians are Astarians who are deemed defective by the people. Pupils, different colored skin, or even a different personality are considered "defective".

Astarian Traits

Astarians have a mixture of almost everything, but sometimes lack on Constitution and Charisma.

Darkvision 120ft

Because of their Tiefling blood, Astarians are able to look into the dark in shades of grey. This makes them good hunters, as they can hide in the dark because of their dark skin and be able to see through the dark.

Dark and Light Defense

Because of their blood of divinity and darkness, Astarians have defenses to both opposite sides. You have resistance to both radiant and necrotic damage.

Racial Bonuses

Astarians understand both sides of the coin, evil and good, therefore they have a deeper understanding of morality. You get +2 Wisdom.

Astarians also try to be charismatic people, although they may be timid most times, they do try their best. You get +1 Charisma.

Age

Humans reach adulthood in their 20s and they don't age after that. They typically live up to 5 centuries.

Alignment

Astarians tend to the Neutral Good alignment. They do not care about law or chaos, they just care about the safety of their people but that doesn't mean that they won't risk their lives to save people from other races as well.

Size

Once they reach 20 years old, Astarians vary from 6' to 6'5".

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Astarians love to learn other languages as they want to be considered a part of the world. They are even amazed by things other races consider vulgar such as profanity in other languages.
