Homebrew Vyren Species Details

Vyren are descendant of Infernal beings who chose to mingle with Elven beings. Generally, they will hide their more demonic features through means of magic as they don't want their intentions to be assumed. For the most part, Vyren are passive beings who will often mingle with other races but rarely show their true nature. To the uncanny eye, they look completely alike to Elves and are normally assumed to be so. Their defining features are their red cloaks and red eyes. Unlike most belief, the red cloak is simply a way for the Vy to subtly identify each other in public.

As they are quite hidden beings, they tend to only show their devilish features in combat situations. Marked on their skin are different tattoo-like images which represent their true features. These markings tend to be red, white or black. There are a few different features that a Vyren can have but out of them all, they can only have up to three. The most common amount to have is two, horns and wings. It's extremely rare for a Vyren to be born without wings. These wings consist of three types, devil-like, fiery and black feathers. The horns can come in a plethora of different types and depends on the Vyren. They can also have claws or a tail but those are much more uncommon. The claws can either be from their nails or their knuckles. 

 Once angered, they aren't afraid to shed blood. They tend to be rather more passive beings with a long fuse. However, when that fuse is burnt the lighter will surely regret it. Very elegant beings, they tend to wield finesse weapon and lean-to lightweight fighting weapons or take up spell casting and strive to become powerful war caster

These beings, when in demonic form, are flying foes that most would regret crossing paths with.

Darkvision

Vyren inherited vision in the dark from their Elven ancestors. This has a range of 60 feet.

Vyren know Elvish and Infernal as well as Common.

Devil's Flight

When out of their true form, Vyren cannot fly. They hide their wings through means of evolved disguise. The markings on their skin represent what type of features they have. These markings transform into their wings when willed.

With their wings active, they gain 30 feet of flying speed.
