Homebrew Demigod Species Details
When the immortal gods get frisky, humans always seem to be willing to bear their children. Depending on which god is getting frisky, demigods are born with varying abilities and traits. Although the Greek gods are named here, the themes are quite generic and the Greek gods could be replaced with members of the Roman, Norse, or Faerun pantheons.
Demigods look like any other human, but are typically slightly more attractive and less prone to blemishes and similar markings. Most gods never meet their children and rarely claim them as their own. Upon reaching puberty and into adulthood, many start to show signs of their godly parentage with amazing feats or abilities. Demigods find their way into all walks of life and most can go their whole lives without knowing what they truly are. Although their longevity gives them away eventually.
After a god and a mortal (mostly humans) have a child together they produce a Demigod. These Demigods also sometimes known as half-bloods have inherited enhanced abilities over their mortal counterparts including, knowledge of the celestial language, hardened bodies, and control over their godly parent's domain. Demigods while very strong do have a couple of hard downsides they have a scent that any smart enough monster can sense or find, also they have trouble fitting with other species, most Demigods also have some sort disorder of some sort.
While most Demigods are created much like regular humans, gods can choose how long children can take to gestate and, if some gods prefer they can make their children through magic (like virgin goddesses). In this way, Athena remains a virgin goddess and it reflects how she herself was born, with magic sprouting from the head of Zeus. Most gods just go through regular childbirth as it is easier. Few demigods have full-blooded siblings (with the exception of twins), as their godly parent will usually leave their mortal consorts not long after a child is born, or sometimes even before that.

Age
Demigods mature at the same rate as their none divine parent. However upon maturity Demigods age significantly slower than their mortal side. For example, if their mortal half was human, 1 Demigod year is equatable to 10 human years. Upon reaching roughly 40, Demigods appear to stop aging retaining all physical characteristics from this age up until they die due to the death of their divine parent. (However if by this point the demigod, them-self, is worshiped, they will not die. Instead they continue to live on, but now as a minor god/goddess.)
Alignment
A Demigod’s alignment depends greatly on the alignment of their godly parent. However, the Demigod’s racial heritage can sometimes greatly influence a child’s alignment, causing even daughters and sons of even the most evil gods to be paragons of good and law.
Size
Demigods stand the tallest among their mortal race. Your size is the same as your non-divine parent's race. Your size is considered Medium, by default.
Speed
As a Demigod, you move faster than the average human. You were born this way to help them both run towards and away from danger. Your base movement speed is 35 feet.
Favor of the Gods
When you roll a 1 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll. You must complete a long rest before you can use this trait again.
Divine Resilience
Once a day, if you are knocked to 0 hit points, you instead drop to 1 and regain 1d8 + your Constitution modifier temporary hit points.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Celestial. You speak the language of both your parents Common and the language of the gods Celestial. Common you were taught as anyone else, but Celestial has been hardwired into your brain.
