Homebrew Aldabra Species Details

The Aldabra are a large tortoise race. Using their shells as a strong defensive option, the Aldabra are trained warriors that are best upclose in the battlefield. Whilst being fierce enemies during a fight, they prefer the pacifist lifestyle and are loved by all races. The Aldabra are unable to wear armour or any clothing that provides AC due to their large shells, however the shells provide great AC that increases with the Aldabra's level. Using the shell, the Aldabra are able to spend one action to retreat inside their shells and reduce all damage by a dice roll. Due to the strong shells, the Aldabra have resistance to piercing damage and vulnerability to bludgeoning damage. They are able to breath underwater.
